Northern New Jersey Safe Kids / Safe Communities held its annual Awards reception on Monday March 20, 2017 in Parsippany. Nearly 100 community members gathered to give honor to our 2016 Outstanding Volunteers.
Sgt. Gil Benitez of the Mountain Lakes Police Department was honored for his community service work pertaining to distracted driving, bicycle and pedestrian safety. "Gil has had a tremendous impact on the community when it comes to traffic safety", noted KJ Feury the Injury Prevention Coordinator of Morristown Medical Center. Pictured with Sgt.
