BIke To School Day in Mountain Lakes at Wildwood School

The Wildwood Elementary School in Mountain engaged nearly 100 children on Thursday April 26th to celebrate Bike To School Day. 

Sgt. Gil Benetiz of the Mt. Lakes Police Department lead the ride through the streets of Mountain Lakes and were met at the school by the schools orchestra. 

This was a very festive morning that was memorable for all. Prior to the ride the children were reminded of the rules of the road and helmet use when cycling. In June all all classes will participate in a bike rodeo sponsored by the Mt. Lakes Police Department and Northern NJ Safe Kid / Safe Communities. 

One child was overheard saying, " this is just the best way to start the day"!
