The First Carl P Valenziano MD Award Honors Patty Difilippo RN

Patty Difilippo RN, CPSTI is the first recipient of the Carl P. Valenziano MD Injury Prevention Award.  Dr. Valenziano was the first Director of Trauma, Critical Care and Injury Prevention at Morristown Medical Center in 1992. Carl's vision of Injury Prevention was vibrant and innovative. He set the ground work for impact the program is having today. Patty Difilippo was one of the first Child Passenger Safety Technicians in the state and coordinated the efforts of the 1st CPS Station in Cedar Grove. Patty was employed by Mountainside Medical Center and at that time was part of the Atlantic Health System. Patty's dedication to child passenger safety is evident through her patience and knowledge shared each week with parents and caregivers who come to the stations for assistance.
