Minimize the Risk
As care takers it is not always possible to know everything a child is doing. There will be places they stick their hands into and items them shove in their mouth. Lets minimize the possibility of said item being a drug substance by following these medication storage safety guideline provided by Safe Kids Worldwide.
- Put all medicines up and away and out of sight.
- Put medicine away after every use, even if you need to give another dose in a few hours.
- Keep visitors’ purses, bags, and coats out of the reach of kids, as they may contain medicine.
