Reduce the number of deaths from heatstroke by remembering to ACT.
54% of child heatstroke deaths occur because a caregiver has forgotten the child in the car. Take action to prevent heatstroke. If you see a child alone in a car, call 911. Emergency personnel are trained to respond to these situations. One call could save a life.
Sometimes babies are so peaceful and quiet in the backseat that we can forget they are even there, and it can be tempting to leave a sleeping baby in the car so we don’t have to wake them up while we quickly run into the store.

Safe Kids Northern NJ took a stand on the hottest day of the year to bring a safety zone to Chester's Taco Paloozer.
Numerous safety games were set up for the families in attendance to have some fun and review safety in the home, on the road and at play.
Home Safety was the game winner at the Sussex County Miners game on Thursday June 21st, Big and little Safe Kids, explored the interactive home safety station and also had some fun.
Engineers are working hard to ensure that cars and car seats are designed to keep kids as safe as possible. But it’s up to every parent to take full advantage of these innovations by making sure car seats and booster seats are used and installed correctly.
Safe Kids Northern NJ continued their safety exhibits on June 21 the summer soltice. Swim Safety was the theme.
Children jumped in to a PFD, parents recognized the importance of a water water program and fun was had by all.
