National Injury Prevention Day Nov. 18, 2025

National Injury Prevention Day November 18, 2025

We lit it up Green, to celebrate National Injury Prevention Day!

National Injury Prevention Day is an annual event dedicated to raising awareness about injury prevention and promoting safety in our communities. On November 18, 2025, organizations across the country will come together to share knowledge, resources, and strategies for preventing injuries and violence.

Northern NJ Safe Kids / Safe Communities, the Community Based Injury Prevention Coalition of the Trauma Service brought 80 community members together to “Connect, Commit and Collaborate” on Injury Prevention Strategies.

Our Goals

  • Raise awareness about the leading causes of injuries and how to prevent them
  • Promote evidence-based strategies for injury prevention
  • Foster collaboration between organizations working in injury prevention
  • Empower communities to take action and create safer environments
  • Advocate for policies and practices that support injury prevention

Take a big step for safety. Wear your seat belt, drive the speed limit, avoid impaired or fatigued driving, use  cross walks and be seen with reflective gear when walking or riding a bike and wear a helmet when riding.
