The New Way To Fly Safe With Kids
CARES Child aviation restraint
CARES is the new, harness-type, FAA certified child aviation restraint that weighs only 1 pound, fits in a 6 inch stuff sack, and installs on virtually any size airplane seat in one minute. CARES takes the place of a car seat when you fly and keeps the child just as safe.
CARES is the new, harness-type, FAA certified child aviation restraint that weighs only 1 pound, fits in a 6 inch stuff sack, and installs on virtually any size airplane seat in one minute. CARES takes the place of a car seat when you fly and keeps the child just as safe. The FAA awarded CARES an ELOS rating -“equivalent level of safety” to a car seat - after extensive dynamic testing. CARES is certified for children 22-44 lbs and no taller than 40 inches (about 1 - 4 /5 years old). It is for children sitting in their own airplane seats, and can be used in any seat in the row unlike car seats because it does not impede egress of other passengers. CARES is the ONLY alternative to a car seat the FAA permits on planes for young children, and it is a violation of federal regulations for any US airline to prevent a parent from using this new restraint. The “Flight Manual” in the cockpit of every commercial US airplane lists CARES as an approved child restraint.
CARES makes safe airplane traveling far easier for families. Because CARES is still a relatively new product, Kids Fly Safe recommends that you carry a copy of the official FAA website “Child Safety on Airplanes” with you when you fly. This can be downloaded from the “In-Flight Documents” page of the http://www.kidsflysafe.com/ website.
